Smooth, Arabica beans, are the key ingredient to our new Cappuccino Ammonite Fossil Chocolates. Originated from the highlands of Ethiopia, these sweeter, softer tasting beans, with tones of sugar, fruit, and berries are what make them the king of coffee. Most importantly, we have then combined these flavours with our creamiest, smooth, white chocolate. Together they create a rich, milky cappuccino flavoured chocolate that we then craft by hand into our unique ammonite design.
The earliest ammonites appear during the Devonian period, 420 – 358 mya. The last species died out during the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event that also wiped out the dinosaurs. They lived in shallow seas and having hard shells, ammonites formed fossils easily. Over time, as ammonites evolved their anatomy changed and this allows them to be used as a fossil calendar to determine the age of many sedimentary rock layers.
